Halloween decor

The best season is going on and most likely one of the best celebration of the year is right behind a door. This year I was eager to bring Halloween theme into my home too so I bought fake spider webs and crafted a flock of bats onto my living room's wall. In addition I put my new curtains on a window. They fits perfectly to the autumn and are quite gothic aswell. I fell in love that print so deeply that I bought also sheets with the same print. Dead trees are so pretty! Do you decor your home for Halloween?

Almost a week since my last update and what a week is behind me. Long 12-hours workdays and much new affairs which I've gone through and there is still a short shift tomorrow until I can start my weekend.  But I don't complain although tiredness tries to overwhelm me right now . The week has offered loads of new positive experiences via work that I wish to found them more. Little did I know how fun it could be play with the children. 

I don't have any special plans for the weekend and there is only that one whole day off this time. I try to visit a gym and try a new grip to the pole which I ordered recently. It makes me a little annoyed that I haven't learned any new pole tricks in  a long long time. Now I purchased the grip for the very first time and I hope it would help a bit to stay better on the pole.

Why can't autumn last forever?

Like the title gives to understand, I have enjoyed the autumn this week. The weather has given great autumn days which means that I've wandered with my camera around the town. Hard disk is filled with the pictures waiting for editing and here are a few of them:

The vacation really came at the right moment. It has been wonderful to spend time with the creative affairs when most often it feels that I don't have enough time for them on weekdays and my current studies and work don't offer me much in this area which annoys me every now and then. That's why I've planned to keep my next summer free of the work so that I could focus more on things I really care of.

Queen of Darkness' poncho is one of my favorite garment in this fall. I've worn it every week during the last few months and it got lost on me also yesterday with Campbell's shoes and big ankh:

Vacation days run in a speed of light although I don't do anything special. Just gym and pole and hanging out with my other half. Yesterday I booked the flights and hotel for WGT so I will get there again the next year and can't really wait for it! This time we will travel via Berlin so perhaps I have a chance to see a piece of Berlin aswell. There is coming another journey before it when I'm off to Spain in a few weeks! Perhaps it heals my travel fever a bit ;)

Vacation

Finally the vacation appeared (except I still have a few work shifts to do, but no studies. I'm dreaming of the real vacation and probably I will have it the next summer! ) I didn't make any plans to fill my days off, I let my inspiration to lead now. Yesterday I rounded in the town and took a bunch of pictures of the nature which is autumnal. Then my tripod got broken and so we went to buy a new one. This should be better now, it cost over hundred euro which is a lot for the tripod. I can't understand how they can be so bloody expensive, but all photographic supplies are. 

 It's here soon a day of horror... Halloween! I went to buy some accessories to make my home look more horror chamber.. I haven't decorated my home earlier for Halloween so it's about time to do it. I should be off then so I get to attend some parties, but I haven't any ideas for the costume!

 Yeah.. I have spent time with the modern vampires.... I started reading Twilight saga from the beginning.. let's see if I manage to read them all. 

I found a lovely lantern a few days back and because there are some vague hooks on a ceiling I decided to put it to hang. There were three different sizes and I picked up the middle one.

The rococo chair

Some of you may know my love towards the rococo furniture as I've told here on my blog many times how I dream of the house furnished by 18th-century decor. Well I took a step to closer that beautiful century when I found these lovely rococo chairs in July. Two similar chairs cost together seventy euros and they were in a really good condition. Not high price to my mind for most similar chairs cost much more. 

And before someone wonders these chairs didn't look this when I got them. They were both covered with ugly yellow fabric and they were brown.  I veiled and painted and there is still another one waiting for the new cover. It most likely will be different as the striped one.  I didn't have any kind of experience of veiling so this was a jump into unknown, but I'm quite proud of myself. It turned out much better as I assumed and I had fun meaningful experience. I have always loved different DIY projects and even if I don't own skills for something I'm eager to learn them. According to a seller these are at least fifty-years-old, but can be even older. I'm not an expert of antique so please tell your opinion if you have more knowledge. 

I already dream of a rococo sofa and table, but so far my black velvet divan beats it for its comfort. But it would be interesting to do more veiling projects in the future. 

Whether there is life before death?

After a stormy night  arrived  a zombie day. I decided to attend a gig of Lasten Hautausmaa last night  despite that I had an early morning shift today. I had to be at work at six in the morning and I found my bed at two in the middle of the night. Needless to say I didn't spend much time in a dream word during the night, but the gig was worth it. The second time I saw them live and no disappointments either this time. Hope they will come to the corners again in the future. They are definitely one of my favorite band currently. Somber Finnish lyrics are all I need this time of the year. 

Recent times I have gone from place to another in this simple uniform. All are from flea markets expect the shoes, tights and necklace. Not that imaginary attire, but comfy and neat. And mostly I have spent my time with the studies so it's only useful to dress up this way. Official business looks enthrall me these days, but it doesn't mean I would wear them everyday.
